Delete your account and data
Last updated: 7 October 2026
This page explains how to delete your LittleSaving account and which data is deleted or kept. It applies to the web app, Android and iOS.
1. Delete it in the app
- Sign in to LittleSaving.
- Open Settings → Delete account.
- Read what will be deleted. To keep a copy of your data, tap Back up your data before deleting.
- Type your email to confirm, then tap Delete permanently.
Deletion happens immediately and can’t be undone. Your account details (email, name), notifications, settings and feedback are always deleted. The rest depends on your role in the household:
- You’re the owner and the only member: the whole household and all its data (wallets, transactions, budgets, categories, goals, debts, receipt photos) are deleted. A subscription paid through Paddle is canceled right away, so you won’t be charged again.
- You’re the owner and others are still in the household: transfer ownership to another member first (Settings → Members), then delete your account as a member.
- You’re a member: your account and your private wallets (with all their transactions) are deleted. Transactions you recorded in shared wallets stay with the household because they belong to everyone; the author is shown as “Former member”.
2. Can’t open the app? Request deletion by email
If you’ve uninstalled the app, forgotten your password or can’t sign in, email vancongit87@gmail.com from the email address you signed up with, subject “LittleSaving account deletion request”. We’ll verify that you own the account, delete it as described in section 1 within 30 days, and reply once it’s done.
3. App Store / Google Play subscriptions
Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play — Apple and Google manage those. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play subscriptions screen before deleting your account so you aren’t charged again. Subscriptions paid through Paddle are canceled automatically, as in section 1.
4. Data we keep
- Shared household data when other members remain (see section 1).
- Payment records (order ID, amount, time) for as long as accounting and tax laws require.
- System backups expire and are deleted within 30 days at most.
More about how we handle data: Privacy Policy.
5. Delete some of your data and keep your account
You don't need to delete your account to delete your data. Right in the app:
- Transactions: open a transaction → Delete. Deleted transactions stay in the Trash for 30 days so you can restore mistakes, then they are permanently deleted.
- Wallets, budgets, recurring bills, goals, debts, saved payees, automation rules, categories: delete or archive them on their pages.
- Household members: the household owner removes a member in Settings → Members.
- Receipt photos: not kept after they are read, so there is nothing to delete.
- To delete other data you can't remove yourself, email us (section 6); we handle requests within 30 days.
